Insulation in the Var

Lofts of 1970s houses, south-facing roofs, rooms under the eaves: in the Var, insulation is designed as much for summer as for winter.

In the Var, a poorly insulated house is often uncomfortable twice a year: cold in winter inland, stifling in summer everywhere. Roof insulation is generally the first lever.

A summer issue as much as a winter one

Estates built between the 1960s and 1980s around Toulon, Fréjus or Draguignan often have poorly insulated lofts. Rooms under the roof accumulate heat during heatwaves.

In the Haut-Var, where winters are harsher, insulation noticeably reduces heating needs and allows a future heat pump to be sized more accurately.

Frequently asked questions

Is loft insulation enough against heat?

It contributes strongly, especially under roofs. It is complemented by solar protection and night-time ventilation.

How long do loft works last?

It depends on the area, access and technique. The duration is specified in the proposal after the visit.
