A bathroom or kitchen brings together several trades: plumbing, electrics, waterproofing, tiling, joinery. We coordinate everything so that the works follow on in the right order, with qualified partner companies.
The works covered
- Full bathroom, walk-in shower, replacing a bath with a shower
- Kitchen: services, appliances, worktops, splashbacks
- Adaptations for comfort and accessibility (level-access shower, grab bars)
- Ventilation of wet rooms
What we check before the works
- The drains and available falls (level-access shower)
- The condition of the water and electrical services
- The existing ventilation
Regulations and good practice
- In a bathroom, the NF C 15-100 electrical standard defines safety zones around the bath and shower.
- A level-access shower requires suitable waterproofing under the tiles.
- Wet rooms must be ventilated to prevent condensation and mould.
These general rules are confirmed for each project, depending on your home, your commune and the regulations in force at the time of the study.
How does your project work?
- Your request and the appointmentYou describe your project online (pre-study) or by phone. With your agreement, the adviser calls you back to arrange an appointment at your home.
- The full on-site study, free and with no obligationIn your presence: review of the existing situation, access constraints and the technical points of the planned works. If the project makes sense, the adviser presents the partner installer’s detailed offer.
- Time to decideYou can sign at the appointment or take time to think. Once you have agreed, you have the legal 14-day withdrawal period.
- The partner installer’s check visitAfter the withdrawal period, the partner installer visits the site in turn to confirm all the technical points.
- Formalities and any financial aidPlanning or condominium permissions if the works require them, any financial aid and, if needed, a financing application. If an essential approval is refused, the project is cancelled.
- Installation, checks and after-sales serviceOnce all approvals have been obtained, the works are carried out by a qualified partner company with ten-year insurance, then checked with you at handover. The partner installer then provides after-sales service under its own guarantees and those of the manufacturers.
What influences the cost
We do not give prices without a visit: every job is different. The main factors that change the quote are:
- The area and the level of equipment
- Whether supply and drainage points are moved
- The choice of materials and finishes
Who carries out the installation? Agence IntExt, an Independent Business Manager (VDI Mandataire), advises you, studies your project and coordinates its delivery. The Agency does not carry out the works itself: the installation is entrusted to independent partner installers, selected for their qualifications (RGE, QualiPV, QualiPAC… depending on the solution) and their ten-year (décennale) insurance, so that the installation complies with the standards and regulations in force.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
It depends on the scope of the works and supply lead times: the schedule is set out in the partner company’s quote.
Can a bath be replaced by a level-access shower?
Often, yes; feasibility mainly depends on the fall available for drainage, checked during the visit.
