An old or undersized electrical installation is a source of discomfort and risk. Whether you are renovating one room or the whole home, or preparing for a heat pump, solar panels or an EV charger, we study the existing installation and have the necessary work carried out.
The works covered
- Safety upgrade of the installation (residual current protection, earthing)
- Replacement or extension of the consumer unit
- Partial or full rewiring: circuits, sockets, lighting, switches
- Dedicated circuits: heat pump, air conditioning, EV charger, solar panels
What we check before the works
- The condition of the consumer unit, protections and earthing
- The contracted power and future needs (new equipment)
- Cable routes and the impact on finishes (chases, trunking, linings)
Regulations and good practice
- Electrical installations in French homes follow the NF C 15-100 standard.
- For an installation more than 15 years old, an electrical diagnosis is required when the home is sold or let.
- After a full rewiring requiring the power to be reconnected, a certificate of compliance approved by Consuel may be required.
These general rules are confirmed for each project, depending on your home, your commune and the regulations in force at the time of the study.
How does your project work?
- Your request and the appointmentYou describe your project online (pre-study) or by phone. With your agreement, the adviser calls you back to arrange an appointment at your home.
- The full on-site study, free and with no obligationIn your presence: review of the existing situation, access constraints and the technical points of the planned works. If the project makes sense, the adviser presents the partner installer’s detailed offer.
- Time to decideYou can sign at the appointment or take time to think. Once you have agreed, you have the legal 14-day withdrawal period.
- The partner installer’s check visitAfter the withdrawal period, the partner installer visits the site in turn to confirm all the technical points.
- Formalities and any financial aidPlanning or condominium permissions if the works require them, any financial aid and, if needed, a financing application. If an essential approval is refused, the project is cancelled.
- Installation, checks and after-sales serviceOnce all approvals have been obtained, the works are carried out by a qualified partner company with ten-year insurance, then checked with you at handover. The partner installer then provides after-sales service under its own guarantees and those of the manufacturers.
What influences the cost
We do not give prices without a visit: every job is different. The main factors that change the quote are:
- The scope of the works (safety upgrade, partial or full rewiring)
- The number of circuits, light points and sockets
- Accessibility (concealed or surface wiring, occupied home or not)
Who carries out the installation? Agence IntExt, an Independent Business Manager (VDI Mandataire), advises you, studies your project and coordinates its delivery. The Agency does not carry out the works itself: the installation is entrusted to independent partner installers, selected for their qualifications (RGE, QualiPV, QualiPAC… depending on the solution) and their ten-year (décennale) insurance, so that the installation complies with the standards and regulations in force.
Frequently asked questions
Does the whole installation need to be redone?
Not necessarily. A targeted safety upgrade is sometimes enough; the visit identifies what must be replaced and what can be kept.
Can you prepare for a heat pump or an EV charger?
Yes. Dedicated circuits and the consumer unit are studied together with the equipment project, to avoid repeated interventions.
