Building a pool, renovating an existing basin or landscaping its surroundings: we coordinate your project with partner companies, from planning formalities to filling. For a new pool, insulating blocks can also limit heat loss.
The works covered
- Construction of in-ground or semi-in-ground pools
- Renovation: lining, liner, waterproofing, plant room
- Pool decks, copings and terraces around the pool
- Safety devices and pool heat pumps
What we check before the works
- Ground conditions, machinery access and buried services
- The commune’s planning rules (distances, footprint)
- The choice of safety device
Regulations and good practice
- Planning: a pool of 10 m² or less is generally exempt from formalities; from over 10 to 100 m², a prior declaration is needed; above 100 m², or with an enclosure more than 1.80 m high, a building permit is required (subject to local plan rules and protected areas).
- Safety: every private in-ground or semi-in-ground pool must be fitted with a standardised safety device (barrier, cover, enclosure or alarm).
- A pool is subject to the development tax (taxe d’aménagement) and must be declared to the tax authorities.
These general rules are confirmed for each project, depending on your home, your commune and the regulations in force at the time of the study.
How does your project work?
- Your request and the appointmentYou describe your project online (pre-study) or by phone. With your agreement, the adviser calls you back to arrange an appointment at your home.
- The full on-site study, free and with no obligationIn your presence: review of the existing situation, access constraints and the technical points of the planned works. If the project makes sense, the adviser presents the partner installer’s detailed offer.
- Time to decideYou can sign at the appointment or take time to think. Once you have agreed, you have the legal 14-day withdrawal period.
- The partner installer’s check visitAfter the withdrawal period, the partner installer visits the site in turn to confirm all the technical points.
- Formalities and any financial aidPlanning or condominium permissions if the works require them, any financial aid and, if needed, a financing application. If an essential approval is refused, the project is cancelled.
- Installation, checks and after-sales serviceOnce all approvals have been obtained, the works are carried out by a qualified partner company with ten-year insurance, then checked with you at handover. The partner installer then provides after-sales service under its own guarantees and those of the manufacturers.
What influences the cost
We do not give prices without a visit: every job is different. The main factors that change the quote are:
- The size, shape and construction type of the pool
- The ground (excavation, access, removal of soil)
- Equipment: filtration, heating, safety, surroundings
Who carries out the installation? Agence IntExt, an Independent Business Manager (VDI Mandataire), advises you, studies your project and coordinates its delivery. The Agency does not carry out the works itself: the installation is entrusted to independent partner installers, selected for their qualifications (RGE, QualiPV, QualiPAC… depending on the solution) and their ten-year (décennale) insurance, so that the installation complies with the standards and regulations in force.
Frequently asked questions
Is permission needed to build a pool?
It depends on the pool area and whether there is an enclosure: a prior declaration or building permit in most cases. We check your commune’s rules before the project.
Can the pool basin be insulated?
Yes, for a new build: insulating formwork blocks reduce the pool’s heat loss. Learn more.
